Happy Valentine's Day! Greenville Elementary was serving up some sweet treats this morning through their newly formed Blackhawk Blends, a specialty coffee shop for the 3rd-5th grade students in Mrs. Self's and Ms. Harless' highly structured resource classrooms. Students work on life skills by practicing adaptive communication, taking orders, counting money, using a structured work system to complete the orders, and deliver them to staff in the building. This has been a huge success and the students love working in the café as much as the staff loves to get their weekly deliveries!
