Longest Elementary was recently awarded a Felix E. Martin, Jr. Grant to purchase a MakerPlace STEAM ( science, technology, engineering, art and math) cart from the Kentucky Science Center. This cart is overflowing with materials for a variety of lessons consisting of hands-on activities and multiple technology enhancements.

At this evening's board meeting, the Board of Education voted to amend the 2024-2025 school calendar. March 17 will now be a regular instruction day (make-up day from February 21) instead of a work day as noted on the original calendar.
