May 29, 2024: The recent storms that swept through our community on Sunday night have left a devastating impact. Homes have been destroyed, families displaced, and many are currently without power. Our hearts go out to all those affected by this unfortunate event.
In times of crisis, we come together as a community to support one another. Muhlenberg South Elementary and the Muhlenberg County School District are committed to assisting those in need during this difficult time.
We are working closely with the Muhlenberg County Regional Disaster Facility to seek needed donations for those directly affected by the storms.
At this time, we are seeking the following donations:
*Water/Gatorade
*Garbage bags
*Leather work gloves
*Unexpired non-perishable snacks and ready to eat food items
*Wet wipes/ Disinfectant wipes
*Cleaning supplies (bleach, spray cleaners, etc)
*Laundry soap
*Monetary donations can be made in the form of a check payable to Muhlenberg County Long Term Disaster Recovery. Checks can be dropped off or mailed to the Muhlenberg County Regional Disaster Resource Facility (address below).
*Monetary donations in the form of gift cards can be dropped off at the Muhlenberg County Regional Disaster Resource Facility (address below).
